Autism Evaluation for Adults
Offering online neurodiversity-affirming evaluation to help you learn more about yourself.
You may be here because…
You’ve been learning about Autism and neurodivergence on social media and see yourself in what you’ve read.
A child or family member was recently identified as Autistic, and now you’re wondering if you might be, too.
You’ve always felt different—like you’re from another planet—but have never fully understood why.
You have a painful history of social difficulties and social rejection, but you don’t totally understand why these things keep happening.
You relate to more classic or stereotypical Autistic traits, like being highly logical, struggling to identify your feelings, and being very pragmatic.
Or maybe you relate to non-stereotypical Autistic traits, like being hyper-empathic, highly sensitive, and highly existential.
You care deeply about fairness and justice.
You are a deep thinker, and sometimes you need some time to think about things before responding in a conversation.
You get easily overwhelmed in social situations. You don’t like eye contact, and you prefer to have a smaller number of deeper relationships.
You’ve struggled with (or been diagnosed with) ADHD, disordered eating, OCD, depression, social anxiety, CPTSD, or a personality disorder, but those labels don’t seem to capture the full picture of your experience.
You’ve been wondering if an Autism evaluation for adults could benefit you.
However you found your way here, I’m so glad you did. Keep reading to see if an online Autism evaluation might be the right next step for you.
You've always felt different—like you don’t quite belong or as if you’re from another planet.
As a child, you may have preferred playing alone or with just one or two close friends. Perhaps you lost yourself in books for hours or found peace wandering in nature. Perhaps you’ve always felt a deep connection with animals—sometimes more than with people. Social situations can be draining, even exhausting.
You’ve spent your life trying to fit in, to be like everyone else. But deep down, it can feel like you’re constantly wearing a mask, performing just to navigate the world.
You’ve been trying to fit in for a long time, but you are feeling more and more exhausted. You are ready to find out more about yourself so you can figure out what really works for you.
I provide online neurodiversity-affirming psychological evaluations to help adults find out if they’re Autistic.
I believe assessment should be a collaborative and empowering experience—one that helps you better understand yourself. As a neurodiversity-affirming psychologist, I don’t see Autism as a disorder, but rather as a different neurotype—a unique way of experiencing the world. Because society is largely built around neurotypical needs, Autism can be disabling in certain environments, and Autistic individuals may require support to truly thrive.
Discovering you are Autistic can be life-changing. It can give you clarity, self-understanding, and the freedom to create a life that works for you.
My Process for Autism Assessment
After you reach out to me (you can find my contact form here), I will get back to you to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation. This is a great opportunity to ask me any questions or have or to talk about your concerns.
If you decide it’s the right time to learn more about your neurotype, I will send you online paperwork and questionnaires to fill out online.
Next, we will meet for a one-hour, online, face-to-face session to talk more about your personal background.
After that, we will meet for a two-hour interview to explore your Autistic traits.
It usually takes me a couple of weeks to prepare your report with personalized recommendations.
Finally, we will meet for a one-hour feedback session to go over the results of your evaluation and talk about next steps and recommendations.
What’s the benefit of formal assessment for adults who already self-identify as Autistic?
As a neurodiversity-affirming psychologist, I see formal assessment as a tool for self-understanding, validation, and access to support—not as a gatekeeping process to determine whether your experiences are "real." If you already self-identify as Autistic, a formal assessment may offer several benefits:
Validation & Clarity – Even if you already feel confident in your identity, an assessment can provide deeper insights into your unique traits, strengths, and challenges, helping you better understand yourself.
Self-Compassion & Reframing – Many people feel a sense of relief after an assessment, realizing that their struggles aren’t due to personal failure but rather a brain that works differently. This shift can be empowering and transformative.
Access to Support & Accommodations – A formal diagnosis can open doors to workplace accommodations, academic support, or disability-related resources that can make life more manageable.
Communicating with Others – Some people find that having a formal assessment helps in conversations with family, friends, or professionals, making it easier to explain their needs and advocate for themselves.
Therapeutic & Personal Growth – A neurodiversity-affirming evaluation isn’t just about labels—it’s about understanding your brain, your nervous system, and your lived experience. The insights gained can help you build a life that works with your brain, rather than against it.
That said, not everyone needs a formal diagnosis, and the decision is deeply personal. Whether or not you pursue an assessment, your experiences and identity are valid. My role is to support you in whatever way feels most helpful for you.
